Mr. Galaviz is one of the world’s leading experts on doing business in ASEAN and the greater Asian region. For more than 15 years he has worked with Fortune 500 companies in the areas of government relations, macroeconomic analysis, and regional growth strategies. He serves as a senior advisor to several governments.

Mr. Galaviz frequently appears on CNBC and other media outlets as an independent industry analyst on the airline, casino gaming, hospitality and technology industries. He holds an MBA from Oxford University (England) and is a graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute.

Jonathan serves as Vice-Chairman (Non-Executive) of the Board of The Centech Group, Inc., a defense contracting firm located in the Washington DC area with over $100m in annual revenue. He is also an Senior Advisor to, a blogging platform for business and technology topics focused on Generation Y audience.

Mr. Galaviz serves as a Partner at Global Market Advisors (GMA). Some of his clients include firms such as the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Goldman Sachs (U.S. and Asia), CapitaLand, Deutsche Bank, Caesars Entertainment, Station Casinos (Fertitta Gaming), eSun/Lai Sun, Keppel Land (Singapore), Lend Lease (Australia), several globally focused private equity / venture capital funds, and non-profit industry organizations such as the International Social Games Association (ISGA).

Mr. Galaviz started his career in 1996 working at the U.S. Senate in Washington DC in the office of U.S. Senator Pete Domenici (R-New Mexico). From 1998 to 2002 Mr. Galaviz was employed in a variety management consulting roles at Spectra Corporation, Whittman-Hart and Mandalay Resort Group (now a part of MGM Resorts International). From 2002 to 2013 Mr. Galaviz was head of Galaviz & Company LLC (and affiliated firms such as Globalysis Ltd.) until GMA purchased it in early 2014.

In 2011 Mr. Galaviz served as the Head of Campus for the University of Nevada’s (UNLV) campus in Singapore as a financial turnaround specialist; the campus was in extreme financial distress. He was asked by the university leadership to return the campus back to profitability, while also enhancing its strategic operational viability. After less than a year, the turnaround was successfully completed and the results were widely praised in media and academic circles.

Jonathan  currently serves as the President of The Economic Club of Las Vegas, a non-profit organization that brings globally renowned speakers to share their views on global economic and political dynamics. Mr. Galaviz is a member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). In 1997, he studied finance at the National University of Singapore as a foreign exchange student.
